Next-Generation Flagship FPGA Simulator

The OP5707 IO is an I/O expansion simulator designed to interconnect with OPAL-RT real-time simulators for input/output expansion. It features a Xilinx® Virtex®-7 FPGA board and provides onboard expansion slots for up to 8 analog or digital I/O cards, supporting up to 128 analog or 256 digital high-speed I/O channels. It also supports 16 high-speed SFP fiber optic communication links and can be interconnected via PCIe with other OPAL-RT products such as the OP5705 XG, OP5707 XG, and OP4610 XG.

Product Composition

(1) The device can be equipped with Xilinx® Virtex® 7 FPGA boards, communicating with OPAL-RT real-time simulators via high-speed PCIe.

(2) The onboard expansion slots accommodate up to 8 analog or digital I/O boards, supporting up to 128 analog or 256 digital high-speed I/O channels.

(3) It supports LVDS/optical fiber synchronization and up to 16 high-speed SFP optical fiber communications for device-to-expansion-unit communication and clock synchronization.

(4) Quick oscilloscope connection via RJ45 and Mini-BNC; standard DB37 interface provides convenient and fast I/O connectivity for HIL or RCP applications.

Product Features

The OP5707 IO FPGA Simulator is equipped with a high-performance Xilinx® Virtex® 7 FPGA board. On the one hand, it enables expansion of IO interfaces and optical fiber communication interfaces through the OP5707 IO Simulator; on the other hand, it can perform FPGA-based small time-step simulation of power electronic converters, MMC (Modular Multilevel Converter) and other topologies to achieve higher simulation accuracy.
