From April 17 to 19, 2026, Hangzhou—a pioneering hub of the digital economy grounded in millennial cultural heritage and driven by technological innovation—hosted the grand opening of the 17th China Smart Grid Academic Symposium. The city gathered over 500 academicians, experts, researchers, and industry representatives from power grid companies, research institutes, universities, and power equipment enterprises nationwide for this academic event to discuss the industry's future.

This conference is jointly organized by the Technical Committee on Power System Control and Protection of China Electrotechnical Society, the Department of Electrical Engineering of Tsinghua University, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of North China Electric Power University; hosted by State Grid Hangzhou Power Supply Company, Power System Protection and Control Press, Smart Power Editorial Department, and Hangzhou Electric Power Society.

As an invited exhibitor at the conference, KeLiang made a remarkable appearance with its core product, SimuNPS, a cutting-edge modeling and simulation software for new type power systems. Leveraging over a decade of technical expertise in the energy and power sector and developed jointly with industry-leading experts, this product is the industry's first comprehensive simulation software for new type power systems. It achieves deep integration of time domain, frequency domain, information domain, and multi-energy domain while fully adapting to domestic operating systems like Kylin. Its unique technical advantages have attracted extensive attention.
During the conference, Academician Xue Yusheng visited KeLiang’s exhibition booth, engaging in in-depth discussions on the SimuNPS product series and providing targeted professional guidance for product optimization and technological upgrades. He emphasized: "The field of modeling and simulation for new type power systems holds immense potential. KeLiang’s independently developed SimuNPS series must adhere to the correct development direction while fully addressing the hierarchical decoupling needs of complex systems. It should also continuously explore the integration of short-term local optimization with long-term global optimization, delivering more efficient technical underpinnings for industry advancement.

Academician Xue Yusheng, Academician Luo An, and Professor Wang Zengping engaged in on-site exchange with the KeLiang team
The robust technical strength of SimuNPS, endorsed by leading academicians, positioned KeLiang’s booth as the exhibition’s focal point. Numerous attendees expressed strong interest in the software, with continuous streams of visitors engaging in inquiries, negotiations, and trial requests—highlighting its industry recognition and market potential through dynamic on-site interactions.
After 17 years of dedicated development, the China Smart Grid Academic Symposium has evolved into a highly credible and influential flagship conference in the national power sector, recognized in the Guide to Key Academic Conferences and its directory by the China Association for Science and Technology. As China's energy and power systems undergo profound transformations, the "15th Five-Year Plan" has prioritized constructing a new type power system and accelerating smart grid development as core tasks. This year's symposium, timely convened, gathered top industry experts to delve into critical frontiers—including new energy accommodation, grid security, and equipment localization—with KeLiang actively contributing through simulation and testing technologies to drive innovation and forge industry consensus.
Together with KeLiang for a greener and smarter future!
